Project Description

Patients undergoing radiotherapy for lung cancer usually undergo treatment over a period of 5 - 6 weeks. Not only is this treatment associated with moderate to severe morbidity in a significant minority but also local control rates can be improved. Early assessment of response of these malignancies on imaging can potentially improve our ability to tailor radiotherapy in these cancers. The project is evaluating a method of predicting response from changes observed in cone beam CT images obtained during radiotherapy.

Clinical Data Available

Clinical data available on the patient characteristics, tumor stage, receipt of chemotherapy, dose of radiotherapy received and the outcomes.
